Peter Degner

Peter Degner (born January 23, 1954 in Leipzig ; † January 15, 2020 in Bad Klosterlausnitz ) was a German event manager , presenter and entertainer .

Career

After his apprenticeship in a fashion store and the army service in the culture battery , Peter Degner worked as a grave speaker . In 1989 he founded a one-man agency and since then has regularly brought world stars to Leipzig's stages. He was closely associated with Hildegard Knef.

Deeply connected to his hometown and its citizens, he was involved in the Peter Degner Foundation for Leipzig's cultural scene until the end of his life.

On January 25, 2020, the Peter Degner Foundation and friends and partners of the impresario published an obituary the size of a complete newspaper page in the Leipziger Volkszeitung .
