Peter Dehn

Peter Dehn (born June 8, 1944 in Berlin-Spandau ) is a German political scientist , politician of the SPD and entrepreneur .

Life and career

After his studies of political science at the Free University of Berlin Dehn was from 1969 to 1972 spokesman of the First University President Rolf Kreibich , before working as an employee in the civil service at the Ministry of Culture in Lower Saxony came in and there as a press secretary of the then Minister of Education Peter von Oertzen worked. He was then a member of the Board of Directors of the Kreissparkasse in Hanover .

Peter Dehn has two grown children from his first marriage and lives in Halle (Saale) .

Political activity

Dehn joined the SPD in Hanover in 1963. In 1974 he became a member of the district council of Hanover , where he was chairman of the SPD district parliamentary group from 1980.

In the 9th to 11th electoral term (July 27, 1981 to June 20, 1990) Dehn was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .
