Peter Dubina

Peter Dubina (born July 1, 1940 in Iglau , Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia ; died March 7, 1990 in Illertissen , Allgäu ) was a German author of Czech origin. He wrote around 150 novels in the genres of western , science fiction , crime fiction and horror under numerous pseudonyms, most of which appeared in loan book series and booklet series . He is best known for his western novels, which he wrote under the pseudonym RF Garner. According to the publisher, the total circulation of his novels is over 20 million.

His science fiction novel Decision in Space (1973) was translated into English under the title Decision in Space in 1976. From 2010, his westerns, published under RF Garner, were reissued in a separate author series by Kelter Verlag. In the mid-2010s, his novels were published as an e-book . His horror stories were also published as an audio book .

Pseudonyms

The bibliographical recording of Dubina's works is particularly difficult, on the one hand due to the sheer number of pseudonyms, and on the other hand due to the nontransparent marketing methods of the publishers who published individual novels under different titles and pseudonyms (including publisher pseudonyms ). The science fiction novels written by Dubina in 1960 and 1961 were first published by Dörnerschen Verlagsgesellschaft under the pseudonym Wayne Coover , which was also used by WD Rohr , then by Pabel in the early 1980s in the series of WD Rohr paperbacks with WD Rohr as given author and finally some with changed title in 2015 and Peter Dubina as author.
