Peter Englert

Peter Englert (born June 30, 1990 in Worms ) is a German actor .

Life

Peter Englert discovered his interest in acting during his school days at the Eleonoren-Gymnasium Worms in Worms. Through his participation in the theater project Nibelungenhorde , in which he worked with Joern Hinkel , Uwe John and Andreas Bisowski , Englert met the director Dieter Wedel in 2012 and was part of the ensemble of the Nibelungen Festival in Worms from 2013 . He was on stage as Gernot in 2013 and 2014 .

He completed his training from 2012 to 2016 at the drama school in Mainz . In 2015, Dieter Wedel moved to the Bad Hersfeld Festival as artistic director and engaged Englert for the 65th Bad Hersfeld Festival for Dieter Wedel's comedy of errors , Joern Hinkel's Midsummer Night's Dreams and the children's play The Owl . In 2016 he appeared in Bad Hersfeld as a juro in Krabat and again in Midsummer Night's Daydreams . As friar Johannes Lang u. a. he was seen in Martin Luther - the attack in 2017 . In 2018 he played again at the Bad Hersfeld Festival in the two plays Shakespeare in Love and in the Bavarian comedy India . He was seen on television in the ZDF film Dora Heldt - Inseparable . Political activities

Peter Englert ran for the office of Lord Mayor of the City of Worms in 2018 . His candidacy was supported by the FWG Citizens' Forum in Worms. In the election on November 4, 2018, Englert received 20.5% of the vote and narrowly missed the runoff election for the election of the new mayor. In the local elections in 2019 he stood as a candidate for the FWG Citizens Forum. After the official announcement of the election results on June 7, 2019, Englert is expected to move into the Worms city council.

Terence Hill Bridge

Englert moderated a video blog until 2016 in which he humorously reported on the annual Backfischfest and in 2016 he jokingly christened the newly opened Karl Kübel Bridge in Worms with the name " Terence Hill Bridge ". In June 2018, the Lord Mayor of Worms, Michael Kissel, wanted to officially give the bridge a second name and was able to personally win over Terence Hill for the official christening. Due to protests from the relatives of Karl Kübel and the Worms city council, Kissel withdrew the proposal to rename.
