Peter Fairclough (musician)
Peter Fairclough (* 12. August 1956 ) is a British jazz - drummer , composer and bandleader .
Live and act
Fairclough graduated from the City of Leeds College of Music and has worked in the UK music scene. a. with Keith Tippett , Paul Dunmall , Ute Lemper , Huw Warren , Peter Whyman , Mike Westbrook , John Harle , Kenny Davern and Peter King . From 1987 to 1991 he formed a trio with Steve Berry and Mark Lockheart ; he also worked in various formations with Keith Tippett and with his own ensemble, The Fairclough Group . In 1995 he received the Peter Whittingham Award . He teaches drums at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts , Leeds College of Music, Derby University and the University Center Barnsley .
