Peter Fink (politician)

Peter Fink (* December 24, 1923 , † 1989 ) was a German local politician ( SPD ).

Career

From 1938 Fink completed an apprenticeship at the Kreuznacher Maschinenfabrik Seitz. After the Second World War he passed the master craftsman's examination as a mechanical engineer in 1947. At the Vocational Education Academy in Solingen, he obtained his university entrance qualification through a second educational path and studied at the Vocational Education Institute at the University of Frankfurt . In 1958 he passed the exam. From 1959 on he taught trade and housekeeping / social care at the vocational school in Bad Kreuznach and in 1965 was appointed senior teacher. In 1952 he was the founder of the metal vocational school.

In 1956 he was elected to the Bad Kreuznach district council for the first time. From 1963 to 1977 he was chairman of the SPD city association. He was elected Lord Mayor of Bad Kreuznach in 1967, succeeding Gerhard Muhs , and remained in office until 1985.
