Woldemar Freiherr Junker von Ober-Conreuth , also von Oberkunreuth , (born April 26, 1819 in Lyck , East Prussia , † 1898 in Kassel ) was a German administrative lawyer in the Kingdom of Prussia .

Life

Junker came from a Lower Austrian nobility family and attended Konitzer Gymnasium . After graduating from high school, he studied camera science at the Albertus University in Königsberg from Michaelmas on in 1835 . After the exams he entered the internal administration of the Kingdom of Prussia . In the sheets of memory (Schmiedeberg) biographical information and a student portrait watercolor of him are preserved.

At first he was a government assessor in the government of the district of Poznan and the district of Bydgoszcz , from 1844 to 1849 he was district administrator of the district of Czarnikau , province of Poznan . It was on May 28, 1849 Government appointed on 15 June 1849, the government in Dusseldorf added. Police director in Koblenz from 1853 to 1863 . In 1863 he came to Magdeburg . On August 3 of the same year he married Anna von Schlippenbach . Then he was senior councilor for the governments of the Gumbinnen administrative district and the Düsseldorf administrative district . Junker is an important contemporary witness of the Wielkopolska Uprising (1848) . In his book he uses the records and books of Heinrich von Brandt , Konstantin Bernhard von Voigts-Rhetz and Emil Knorr as well as notes from the Poznan and Wroclaw newspapers .
