Peter Foldgast (born December 3, 1979 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish football player . In the 2004/05 season he played for Rot-Weiss Essen in the 2nd Bundesliga for one year .

Foldgast moved in early August 2004 from Brøndby IF to Germany to second division promoted Rot-Weiss Essen , where he signed a two-year contract with a mutual option. He made his debut on matchday 1 in the home game against FC Erzgebirge Aue , which RWE lost 5-1, with Foldgast scoring the only goal of his team. At the end of the season, in which he had a total of 17 games and four goals and had to relegate to the regional league again with Essen , he returned to Denmark and moved to first division Aarhus GF .
