Peter Gruber (politician)

Peter Gruber (born June 9, 1937 in Berlin ) is a former German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Gruber attended elementary school in Berlin and Duisburg . After graduating from school, he began an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman . Between 1957 and 1960 he was employed as a soldier in the Bundeswehr . Between 1968 and 1974 he was the SPD sub-district manager, first in Bassum and from 1974 until his election to the Lower Saxony state parliament in 1990 in Nienburg . Gruber had been a union member since 1960, most recently in the trade, banking and insurance union . Gruber is also a member of Amnesty International (ai).

He has been a member of the SPD since 1965. Gruber became a member of the association assembly of the Sparkassenzweckverband der Kreis- und Stadtsparkasse Nienburg . He also became a member of the advisory board of the working group of the hydropower plants Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein eV and member of the district board of the workers' welfare in Nienburg. In 1986 he became a member of the district council of the Nienburg district .

Gruber was elected for the first time as a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 21, 1990 to June 20, 1994 in the twelfth electoral period . He was re-elected in the elections for the 13th Lower Saxony state parliament.
