Peter Hawlik (born August 13, 1991 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian football player . The midfielder plays for the Austrian Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg .

Career

Hawlik began his career in the youth of SV Mattersburg , which he remained loyal to until he switched to the amateur team. He played a few youth games at BNZ Burgenland before he was called to the second team. He played his first game for the Mattersburger amateurs on August 8, 2008 against SV Stegersbach when he came on for Alois Höller in the 81st minute .

The debut in the Austrian top division came just under four years later, when Hawlik came on for Ronald Spuller in the 89th minute on May 17, 2012, the last matchday of the 2011/12 season against the relegated Kapfenberger SV .
