Peter Hengstermann

Peter Hengstermann (born August 27, 1950 in Sondershausen ) is a German local politician ( CDU ).

Life

After graduating from high school in 1969, Peter Hengstermann worked as a fitter at the Sondershausen potash plant until 1970 . Until 1972 he studied at the TU Dresden . Until 1976, Hengstermann was an energetic engineer at VEB Getreidewirtschaft Ebeleben and graduated as a mechanical engineer . Until 1978 he did his basic military service. Peter Hengstermann was a department head at VEB Elektroinstallation Sondershausen until 1989. Since January 2, 1990 he was a member of the council of the Sondershausen district and since June 1, 1990 its district administrator . Since July 1, 1994, Hengstermann was district administrator of the Kyffhäuserkreis . In the district election on April 22, 2012, he received 44.2% of the votes cast and thus had to run in a runoff election. The opposing candidate Antje Hochwind received a majority of the vote from the SPD with 52.7%. On June 30, 2012, his 22-year term as district administrator ended.
