Peter Henning (* 1959 in Hanau ) is a German journalist and writer . He has lived in Cologne since 2005 .

Life

Peter Henning studied German and philosophy in Frankfurt am Main . Since 1985 he has worked as a freelance journalist for various German newspapers and radio stations , and later he became head of the literature department at the Swiss World Week . Since 2015 he has been a lecturer at the University of Cologne at the Germanistic seminar creative writing .

Peter Henning is the author of novels , short stories and poems . In 1984 he received the Culture Prize of the Main-Kinzig District , and in 1996 the Literature Prize of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation . For the novel project “The Chronicle of Missed Happiness” he received an Eastern European grant from the Robert Bosch Foundation , Stuttgart.
