Peter Holmgren (born May 14, 1987 in Gothenburg ) is a German - Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with EV Regensburg in the ice hockey league since February 2017 .

Career

Holmgren began his career in the 2003/04 season in the Rögle BK's junior team and was used as a backup in the HockeyAllsvenskan a year later .

For the 2006/07 season he moved to Denmark to the Herning Blue Fox , with whom he won the Danish championship , before moving to Bäcken HC in the fourth Swedish league at the beginning of the 2007/08 season.

From the beginning of the 2008/09 season , Holmgren was under contract with EHC Munich in the 2nd Bundesliga , where he came up with the shirt number 1. In mid-December he moved to EV Landsberg 2000 in the major league . Since the 2010/11 season he has been playing for the Hannover Indians in the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2013/14 season, Holmgren moved to the Eispiraten Crimmitschau in the DEL2 , where he stood between the posts until 2014 with the shirt number 35. He was then obliged by the Dresden Ice Lions and acted there as the second goalkeeper behind Kevin Nastiuk . Further stations were the Heilbronner Falken, where he quickly lost his goalkeeper position to Eric Hartzell , and the upper division Füchse Duisburg , to which he came after Justin Schrör's injury during the 2016/17 season. After a few months, he moved to EV Regensburg at the end of January 2017.
