Peter II. Chamberlain of Worms called von Bechtolsheim (* around 1338 ; † March 13, 1387 ) was a member of the von Dalberg family branch .

Origin and family

Peter II was the son of Winand I treasurer of Worms (* around 1302; † March 2, 1365) and Demudis of Bechtolsheim († May 29, 1348). He was married since 1365 to Elisabeth (* around 1345; † July 31, 1371), widow of Hermann von Biegen and daughter of Sigfried von Lindau and Irmengard, née von Bommersheim . From this marriage emerged

  1. Irmgard (Bertha) (named from 1387; † 1440, buried in Neckarsteinach ). She was married to Dietrich Landschad von Steinach († November 13, 1439).
  2. Elisabeth, died as a child.
  3. Winand, died as a child.
  4. Wolf, died as a child.
  5. Peter III, the younger, is mentioned from 1389 († March 20, 1397, buried in Bechtolsheim). He was married twice: 1.) Liebmudis von Reifenberg († December 30, 1388, buried in Bechtolsheim), 2.) Ida, daughter of Konrad and Ida von Franckenstein , who can be proven between 1398 and 1405.
  6. Demudis (mentioned from 1395; † February 28, 1425) married Eberhard von Hirschhorn around 1390 (mentioned from 1380; † November 15, 1420).

The married couple Peter II and Elisabeth were buried in or at the church of St. Maria and St. Christopherus / Maria Himmelfahrt and St. Christopherus [sic] in Bechtolsheim .

Peter II has been mentioned since 1354. From 1370 he is bailiff in Odernheim .

In 1390, together with his brother, Johann XI., He acquired the rights of the Fulda monastery in the villages of Abenheim , Dittelsheim and Mölsheim . While Abenheim was permanently owned by Dahlberg until the end of the Old Kingdom , the rights in the other two villages were later sold again: Mölsheim came to Pfalz-Zweibrücken , Dittelsheim was sold in 1606 to Friedrich IV of the Palatinate .
