Peter Jühling

Peter Jühling (born September 9, 1925 in Coburg ; †  December 9, 2011 ibid) was a German industrial manager, recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit , Honorary Senator of the Coburg University and Honorary President of the Coburg Chamber of Commerce .

Life

Jühling was born in Coburg in 1925 as the son of Ernst Jühling and his second wife Hertha. Ernst Jühling was with Max Brose founder and from 1919 to 1956 co-partner of the company Metallwerk Max Brose and Co. Peter Jühling attended the high school Casimirianum Coburg . After graduating from high school, he did military service in the Air Force. He then studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Karlsruhe and then business administration at the University of Erlangen . During his studies he joined the Corps Franconia Darmstadt . After completing his studies, he began his career in 1962 as operations manager at the Bochumer Verein für Gussstahlfabrikation company . In 1960 he moved to Siemens AG in Erlangen . In 1969, Jühling came to Neustadt near Coburg and became the plant manager of the local cable and wire plant. In 1971 he became director in the main division of the cable works of Siemens AG.

In addition to his entrepreneurial activity, he was involved in a variety of ways in the Coburg region. The commitment in the IHK Coburg began with his election to the General Assembly in 1978. A year later he became IHK Vice President and 1980 President of the IHK Coburg. During his term of office, among other things, the expansion of the IHK training center fell. Another important concern for him was maintaining the cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Coburg University of Applied Sciences. He was an honorary senator of the Coburg University and a member of the university's board of trustees . With the entry into retirement and the associated end of his IHK presidency, he was appointed honorary president of the chamber in 1988.

At board level, Peter Jühling was active in the Association of Bavarian Employers 'Associations, the Coburg Employers' Association and the Association of the Bavarian Metal Industry, Coburg District Group. At the political level, he was chairman of the Union's economic advisory council in Coburg for many years.
