Today it bears the name "Alemannia zu Kiel" as the Weinheimer Corps . In 1877 he moved to the University of Zurich .

A little later Jensen dealt for the first time with necessary economic changes for farmers. In 1881 he wrote a seminal article on cattle breeding. He spoke out in favor of breeding lighter and more noble cows that gave more milk in the future.

When the “Genossenschafts-Dampf-Zentrifugen-Meierei” was founded in Ausacker, Jensen took over its chairmanship in 1885. In the “Angler Agricultural Association”, which his father had set up, he was committed to ensuring regular financial provision and insurance for farmers. In 1888 he took over his father's farm.

On March 26, 1889 Jensen married in Neumünster Margarethe Messtorff (born December 29, 1867 in Neumünster, † March 30, 1930), whose father Edward Messtorff a farmer and councilor was. The couple had three daughters and three sons, including the CDU politician Peter Jensen .

Shortly after the creation of the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Agriculture , Jensen worked there as a deputy and deputy chairman. He advocated creating a position for advice on accounting and tax issues. He also dealt with problems of trade and economic policy.

In 1908 Jensen received the patent of the economy council from the Prussian king. As a member of the Royal Prussian State Economics College, he was appointed State Economics Council in 1917. He moved into the executive board of the Prussian main chamber of agriculture and the German agricultural council .

Jensen, who was in charge of the municipality's office, also ran a courtyard of around 80 hectares with an attached ring kiln brickworks.
