Since 1984 he has been a member of the board of directors of the Otto Wolff Group , where he started in 1966 as personal assistant to the industrialist Otto Wolff von Amerongen .

After Junge resigned as chairman of the management in November 1986, PHB Weserhütte AG (PWH) went bankrupt in 1987. As a result of subsidies in the bankruptcy proceedings to avert possible further liability, Wolff lost his entire Otto Wolff group by 1990 .

In an interview in the daily newspaper Die Welt in 2010 he described capitalism as "the largest NGO in human history" and as "a bottom-up system." This "frees people to exercise their talents instead of making themselves dependent on someone who tells them what they are allowed to do and what not."

Until it was dissolved, he was also co-president of the “European Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” (SME UNION).
