Peter Kittel (born September 3, 1947 ) is a former German soccer player . The offensive player played seven games in the Bundesliga with TSV 1860 Munich in the 1968/69 season .

Career

The 19-year-old young striker Peter Kittel came from SV Unterpfaffenhofen from Bavarian amateur football to the Bundesliga for the "Löwen" of 1860 Munich in the 1967/68 season. The German champion of 1966 was only able to sign new entrants from the amateur field due to financial constraints. Therefore, in addition to Kittel, the other players Angon Gigl (SC Olching), Wolfgang Lex (FC Gundelfingen), Max Reichenberger (SC Unterhaching), Horst Schmidt (SW Munich), Hans Schmitt (SW Munich), Hans-Günther Kroth (FV Speyer) and from their own youth Peter Hornung and Eberhard Rosenbaum joined the team of trainer Albert Sing . Only Kroth and Schmidt belonged to the permanent staff of the "Löwen" with 15 league appearances each and took 12th place. Kittel was not used in his first round in 1860 in the Bundesliga.

He played seven Bundesliga games in the 1968/69 season. He made his debut under coach Sing on August 24, 1968 in the local derby against the "Reds" of FC Bayern. In the 0-3 defeat he was substituted on in the 30th minute. On November 1, 1968, a new man, Hans Pilz, took over the coaching position for the “Blauen”. He was unable to prevail against the newcomers Klaus Fischer and Jürgen Schütz as well as the established storm greats Alfred Heiß , Wilfried Kohlars and Hans Rebele . His last Bundesliga appearance was on May 17, 1969, when he lost 1-0 at home to Hertha BSC, where he stormed the left wing. After the season he left Munich and moved to Servette FC Genève in Switzerland. He still played for SC Unterpfaffenhofen and FC Emmering.
