Peter Krämer (entrepreneur)

Peter Krämer (born May 30, 1946 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German entrepreneur and the founder of the former drugstore chain Spinnrad .

Life and work

After secondary school and an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, Peter Krämer passed his Abitur at the evening grammar school in Gelsenkirchen and studied law in Marburg . In 1970 Peter Krämer founded the retail company Spinnrad, initially as a retail business and from 1971 expanded to include a wholesale business. He started with the spinning wheel in the gift items sector. Later, under his leadership, the cosmetics, home accessories, furniture and fashion industries were added. In 1986 the real success story of Spinnrad and the collaboration with Hobbythek and Jean Pütz began , initially with raw materials for making cosmetics yourself. Many products followed later that can be found in an ecological drugstore, as well as gifts made from renewable raw materials. To this day, Spinnrad is the only retail brand in Germany that shaped the entire corporate concept. Peter Krämer developed Spinnrad as a brand for a sustainable and pragmatic ecological concept that also guaranteed social responsibility.

Peter Krämer opened spinning wheel branches all over Germany and practiced franchising to support faster growth. In 1989 he was the first to be honored with the German Franchise Prize of the business magazine Impulse at the 4th German Franchise Day . From 1996 to 1999 Peter Krämer was the founding president of Europe's 500, an organization for the fastest growing companies in Europe. Spinnrad belonged to this continental elite group from 1995 to 2000. Peter Krämer completed the OPM entrepreneurship program at Harvard Business School from 1996 to 1998 . In 2002 the drugstore chain Spinnrad had to file for bankruptcy.

From the end of 2009 Peter Krämer will set up the RuhrStadt Netzwerk GmbH , a portal with a community for the people of the 53 cities, all of which together belong to the RUHR.2010 - European Capital of Culture .

At the end of 2011, Peter Krämer left RuhrStadt Netzwerk and used his extensive network in cooperation with ITNT GmbH Dorsten in the area of social media . As managing partner of ITNT select UG (limited liability), he was also a partner of the company.

At the beginning of 2012, Peter Krämer started the social media-based company “entrepreneurial support” with a focus on corporate finance. He accompanies startups , companies with growth ambitions and companies in difficulties in preparing and realizing the desired financing. He is also available to companies as a business angel .
