Peter Juhani Lahdenpera (born December 29, 1935 in Helsinki ) is a former Finnish-born American cross-country skier and biathlete .

Peter Lahdenpera attended Middlebury College and later became a reservist in the United States Army , for which he also stood. In 1960 he took part in the Winter Olympics for the first time . In Squaw Valley he started cross-country skiing and finished 46th over 15 kilometers and finished eleventh in the relay with Mack Miller , Karl Bohlin and John Dendahl as the final runner of the US representation. At the Biathlon World Championships in 1962 in Hämeenlinna he reached place 26 in the individual. At his second Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1964 , he now started in the biathlon and finished 36th in the individual. After his active career, Lahdenpera became a biathlon coach and, among other things, looked after the USA national team. The 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver were Lahdenpera's first games in which he did not participate in an association position, but only as a private person.
