Peter Maczollek

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter Maczollek (* 1964 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German Bandidos member and author. Since 2003 he has been one of the (meanwhile three) so-called "Vice-Presidents Germany". He became known to a wider public through the handshake with Frank Hanebuth from the Hells Angels , which was staged together with Götz von Fromberg in a media-effective manner in order to seal a kind of " peace treaty " between the two rival outlaw motorcycle gangs in Germany.

Life

Peter Maczollek grew up in Gelsenkirchen and joined several youth gangs at the age of 14 . He graduated from secondary school and completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith . He began to work in the colliery and to socialize in rocker circles . First as a member of the Devil Snakes, he finally got to know Leslav Haus , who brought him to the Ghostrider's MC . Together from Gelsenkirchen, they were significantly involved in the spread of the MC.

Professionally, the two hired themselves together as landlords in a brothel and as pub owners . In 1999 they were involved in the negotiations for the patchover of the Ghostriders to the Bandidos. While Haus initially became a leading representative of his club as Vice-President Europe, Maczollek initially stayed with the Gelsenkirchen Chapter. After various internal club problems, Maczollek finally became one of two German bosses in 2003, while Haus became the “ Sargento des Armas Europe ” (“Sergeant at Arms”, responsible for “armament” and “club discipline”).

The rivalry between the two world clubs was imported from the United States , the country of origin of the Bandidos and the Hells Angels. Already in the 1990s there were clashes in Europe that were often referred to as the " rocker war in Scandinavia ". The police feared similar incidents in Germany and in fact there were some clashes between the two clubs in the 2000s, which are often said to be involved in organized crime . In order to settle these conflicts peacefully, a kind of peace agreement was staged in the media in 2010, which was notarised by lawyer Götz von Fromberg. At the press conference, Frank Hanebuth from the Hells Angels and Peter Maczollek, representing the Bandidos, shook hands. However, the promised peace was short-lived.

In 2013, Maczollek and Leslavshaus published the book Pretty Evil Friends - How We Founded the Bandidos in Germany , in which they tell both the story of their long-term friendship and the story of the Bandidos from their perspective.

Criminal activity

Both the Bandidos and Maczollek in particular are repeatedly accused of criminal activities. However, the findings of the investigating authorities to date are poor. There are supposed to be entanglements in the red light district and drug trafficking , but the only findings regarding Maczollek have so far been established that he, together with Hauser, puts together work gangs for slaughterhouses in the low-wage sector .
