Frank Hanebuth

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frank Armin Hanebuth (born September 12, 1964 in Garbsen-Osterwald ), known as "Steintorkönig" or "Der Lange", is a Hanoverian brothel operator . He was President of the Hells Angels Charter of Hanover, which has since been dissolved .

Origin and career as a biker official

Hanebuth comes from a middle-class family, the father was a vocational school director, the mother chief secretary. As a carpenter's apprentice, Hanebuth decided to pursue a red light career. From 1983 he worked in the Steintorviertel, Hanover's red light district . He also played four professional fights as a heavyweight boxer between 1991 and 1996 . In 1995 he became a member of the Bones MC , the largest German motorcycle club at the time . He became president of the Hanover chapter and in 1999 played a key role in connecting the Bones to the internationally active motorcycle and rocker club Hells Angels. As President of the Hells Angels Charters Hanover, he was one of the most influential members of the German section. In the “peace negotiations” with the competing biker club Bandidos at Whitsun 2010 he was the negotiator of the Hells Angels. According to Ulrich Detrois , who had dropped out of Hells Angels , Hanebuth tried to create the post of “Germany boss” for himself, but failed.

Criminal career and social advancement

Even during his time as the leader of the Hanoverian Bones, Hanebuth had increased its influence in the red light district at the Steintor in Hanover- Mitte . In 2000 he and his rockers tried to expand their sphere of influence to Lüneburg and Hamburg, where they initially settled in several whorehouses . This expansion was prevented by the Hamburg police, who arrested Hanebuth at the end of 2000. He spent the next three and a half years in prison for aggravated assault. After his release, he again limited his activities to Hanover. He controls most of the dance clubs , brothels , sex shops and porn cinemas on the Steintor through several subsidiaries, and his Hells Angels have also established a local monopoly in the area of doorman services . In the conflict with the Bandidos , the Hanoverian Hells Angels expanded their leadership position in northern Germany.

Since the turn of the millennium, Hanebuth has been able to gradually develop a reputation for being a major player in Hanover. The basis for this was his "pacification" of the stone gate previously fought over between Albanians, Russians and Turks, which earned him some respect - also from parts of the police. Through the commitment of journalists from the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung and the Neue Presse as freelancers for his trendy magazines - such as the Steintornews - he was also able to get the local press on his side, in which he has been repeatedly referred to as a “refined person” and “respected man” “Was designated. Most recently, Hanebuth was able to build up a network among the city's dignitaries. His lawyer Götz-Werner von Fromberg , who owns real estate in the Steintorviertel and who introduced him to the “influential circles” that the media also call the “Hanover Connection”, plays a key role . Criticism of these connections was initially made almost exclusively by external media, mainly through research by journalist Christine Kröger and her reports in the Bremer Weser-Kurier as well as through reports in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and in the taz Nord .

In November 2011 Hanebuth announced its withdrawal from the security industry in the Steintorviertel. Lower Saxony's interior minister, Uwe Schünemann , had previously deposed Hanover's police chief Christian Grahl because he had celebrated in a stone gate bar.

24 May 2012 searched officials of the state criminal office of Lower Saxony and the GSG 9 as part of a raid the property Hanebuths in Wedemark . Over a dozen GSG 9 special forces descended from a helicopter in Hanebuth's garden and stormed the villa. In June 2012 the Lower Saxony state parliament decided unanimously to initiate a ban procedure against the rocker gang. A week later, the Hells Angels charter Hanover dissolved.

In April 2013, almost a year after his house was searched, the Kiel public prosecutor closed the investigation on suspicion of contract murder against Hanebuth due to a lack of sufficient suspicion. In May 2014, the Kiel District Court ruled that Hanebuth was entitled to compensation for the destruction on its property as part of the search. The amount of the compensation is checked by the Kiel public prosecutor.

Arrest and pre-trial detention in Spain

Hanebuth was arrested on July 23, 2013 in Mallorca . As the head of the Hells Angels charter "Spain", he and the members are accused of, among other things, forming a criminal organization , promoting illegal prostitution , drug trafficking and money laundering . After four weeks of solitary confinement, he was transferred to normal pre- trial detention in September and transferred to Madrid with 17 other suspects in October . In December 2013, he was transferred to the high-security section of a prison in El Puerto de Santa María , southern Spain . At a detention test on June 22, 2015, an investigating judge ruled that Hanebuth must remain in custody, which in Spain can last up to four years. There is a risk that the rocker could influence witnesses, destroy evidence or flee. Two years after his arrest in Mallorca, Hanebuth was released from custody in July 2015 on bail of 60,000 euros. First, he had to report to the Spanish police every day. Since July 2016, the reporting requirements have stipulated that Hanebuth only has to appear to the police once a week.

In July 2017, Hanebuth married his long-time girlfriend in Bissendorf near Hanover. In June 2018, Hanebuth returned to Hanover's red-light district with the opening of a new bar on Scholvinstrasse.

In February 2019, the Spanish public prosecutor brought charges against Hanebuth. He faces 13 years in prison. 45 other people were charged with him.

Trivia

The in December 2012 in the first program of the ARD broadcast double episode of the crime series Tatort with the titles disposable Girls and The Golden ribbon contains the figure of the red king and Rocker leader "Uwe Koschnik" clear allusions to Hanebuth. When asked about the films, defense attorney Götz von Fromberg said "I've been working as a lawyer in this city for 37 years, but I haven't come across the subject of forced prostitution, which is the subject of the crime thriller, in this form in Hanover in all these years" .
