Peter Ole Jørgensen
Peter Ole Jørgensen (* 1958 in Sorgenfri, Copenhagen ) is a Danish jazz and improvisation musician ( drums , percussion , composition ).
Live and act
Jørgensen has been working in the international jazz and improvisation scene since the 1970s. a. with Evan Parker , John Tchicai , Mats Gustafsson ( Torden Kvartetten ), Herb Robertson / Lotte Anker ( Mokuto ) and David Thomas ( Pere Ubu ). The Wild Mans Band (1997) was created in a quartet with Peter Brötzmann , the Danish bassist Peter Friis Nielsen and initially the trombonist Johannes Bauer ; New editions of this band with Mats Gustafsson, then in 2001 with Pierre Dørge and most recently in 2004 with Fred Lonberg-Holm were recorded on phonograms.
Jørgensen was also a member of the Global Guaranty Orchestra , Cockpit Music and Dane TS Hawk and his Great Mongo Dilmuns . He also wrote music for over 50 films and performances. Jørgensen has worked with Pat Thomas since 1996 when he was playing in Jørgensen's group Sweethearts in a Drugstore (with Alan Silva , Axel Dörner , Phil Durrant and Johannes Bauer ). He heads the label Ninth World Music , on which around 50 releases have appeared so far. In the field of jazz he was involved in 58 recording sessions between 1976 and 2017.
