Peter Paul Perwanger
Peter Paul Perwanger (* around 1688 in Imst ; † April 16, 1754 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian baroque painter .
Life
Perwanger spent time in Italy and in 1713 became a journeyman with the painter Balthasar Böckl in Salzburg. In 1717 he married his daughter Franziska and became a citizen of Salzburg. He was active as a painter, barrel painter and draftsman for copperplate engravings and created altar paintings and portraits, among others of Salzburg archbishops. Jacob Zanusi's influence is evident in his work .
