Peter Peter (* 1956 in Munich ) is a German author and journalist specializing in travel and cuisine .

Life

Peter Peter grew up in Munich. He studied cultural studies in Vienna, Hamburg and Perugia and received his doctorate in classical philology. He then planned and led study trips to Italy , Egypt , Jordan , Ireland and India . He has been a writer since 1994, and from 2000 he added travel journalism with articles for Merian , Madame and Elle Bistro . Since 2003 he has been delivering journalistic articles and restaurant reviews for the social section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung . In 2005 he became a member of the German Academy for Culinary Studies, and in 2006 guest lecturer at both offices of the Università delle scienze gastronomiche in Pollenzo ( Piedmont ) and Colorno ( Parma ), founded by Slow Food . Since 2009 he has been teaching the module “World Kitchens and Cooking Systems” for the master’s course at the Gastrosophie Center of the University of Salzburg and speaks at international congresses. He teaches “culinary tourism management and food trends” at universities and moderates university excursions.   

Peter Peter is the author of award-winning cultural stories in the kitchen as well as numerous art-historical and literary travel books and interview partner for the media on culinary topics.
