Peter Rübsam (* 1941 in Nümbrecht ) is a German sculptor and musician. Rübsam lives and works in Düsseldorf in the Golzheim artists' settlement.

Rübsam, son of the sculptor Jupp Rübsam , learned the stonemason trade at the age of seventeen and then worked as a sculptor with stone as well as wood, bronze or concrete. His work with these different works, however, combines a fundamental interest in the form, to which all contextual references only provide an accessory, the pretext. The special effect of the incidence of light also plays an important role.

Rübsam is also a jazz musician and performs with Dat Kaiser Trio + One in Düsseldorf. Before Peter Rübsam got into the bagpipes , he played the recorder in a jazz band with Horst Geldmacher , who was already playing Scottish pipes. Geldmacher reported from a pipe band in Laarbruch near the British Royal Air Force. Rübsam went there in 1969, found the pipe major, and from then on went to his class twice a week for a year and a half.
