Peter Redgrove

Peter William Redgrove (born January 2, 1932 in Kingston upon Thames , Surrey , † June 16, 2003 in Falmouth , Cornwall ) was a British writer.

Redgrove has taught at various universities in the United States and England.

He was married twice, in 1954 to Barbara Sherlock and in 1980 to Penelope Shuttle .

Redgrove co-founded the poetry association The Group . In 1996 he received the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry .
