Peter Schønau Fog

Peter Schønau Fog (born April 20, 1971 ) is a Danish film director .

Life

Peter Schønau Fog grew up in Esbjerg and on the Danish North Sea island of Fanø . He studied for a year at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague before starting his studies at Den Danske Filmskole , which he successfully completed in 1999 with his award-winning graduation film Lille mænsk .

With the drama Kunsten at græde i kor , published in 2006 , Schønau Fog was given the opportunity to film Erling Jepsen's successful novel The Art of Weeping in the Choir . The film was an audience success with 233,964 viewers and was awarded several prizes both nationally and internationally. Schønau Fog also received several awards, including the Nordisk Film Prize , the Nordic Council Film Prize and the Robert for Best Director . The film itself was as Best Danish film with Robert and as Best Danish film with a Bodil Award and was the Danish contribution to the Oscar nominations of the Best Foreign Language film , and he did not come to the final round.
