Peter Schrijver (Linguist)
Peter Schrijver (born September 12, 1963 in Delft ) is a Dutch linguist .
Life
He studied classical philology , comparative Indo-European linguistics and Caucasian linguistics at the University of Leiden and received his doctorate there in 1991. In the following years, he researched the history of the Celtic languages as a fellow of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen . In 1999 he was appointed to the chair for Historical and Indo-European Linguistics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . Since 2005 he has been teaching at the Chair of Celtic Languages and Culture at the University of Utrecht .
