Peter Schubert (* 1959 in Leinefelde ) is a set and costume designer and professor for set and costume design at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art .

biography

Peter Schubert studied stage and costume design at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art from 1982 to 1987 and graduated with a diploma . During his studies his first theater work took place with Frank Castorf in Jena.

Since 1987 he has been working as a freelance set and costume designer at various theaters in Germany and abroad. Among other things:

Peter Schubert worked as a director at the Graz Theater , the Nuremberg Opera and the Potsdam Theater . He designed numerous theater posters, including for the season 91/92 at the Schauspiel Bonn and for the season 92/93 at the Schauspiel Dresden.

From 2006 to 2009 Peter Schubert was a lecturer for stage design / costume at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. Since 1998 he has been a professor of stage and costume design at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin.
