Peter Henrik Skov-Jakobsen (born February 22, 1959 in Dalum near Odense ) is a Danish Evangelical Lutheran clergyman, bishop of the Diocese of Copenhagen since 2009 .

After graduating from high school in 1979 in Odense, Skov-Jakobsen first studied German and from 1980 Protestant theology at the Universities of Copenhagen and Hull . He completed his studies in Hull in 1992 with a Master of Arts and in 1993 in Copenhagen with a cand. Theol. from. Then he was pastor of the seaman's church in Hull. From 1998 he was pastor in the Holmens church and military chaplain . He has already accompanied the Danish military on several missions abroad.

On July 16, 2009 Skov-Jakobsen was elected Bishop of the Diocese of Copenhagen and introduced on August 31, 2009 as the successor to Bishop Erik Norman Svendsen . He thus takes a leading role in the Danish People's Church as primus inter pares (first among equals) to the other Danish bishops.

In addition to his duties in the diocese, Skov-Jakobsen also holds a number of church-wide offices, including as chairman of the Danske Sømands- og Udlandskirker and as a member of a commission of the church ministry that is supposed to prepare a reform of the national church. He has been chairman of the Porvoo community with Martin Wharton since 2013 .

Skov-Jakobsen is married and has two grown-up daughters.
