Peter Tollens

Peter Tollens (born August 21, 1954 in Kleve ) is a German painter, draftsman and book artist living in Cologne. In his predominantly monochrome but structured paintings, he deals intensively with the essence of color in painting ( Paint and Color ). His work also includes drawings, graphics and artist books.

Life

From 1970 to 1973 P. Tollens received training as a color lithographer. From 1976 to 1981 he studied painting at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences under Professor Stefan Wewerka .
