Peter Vehr

Peter Vehr , called "the Elder" (* 1585 in Brandenburg an der Havel , † 1656 in Berlin ) was a German theologian and educator.

Peter Vehr studied in Wittenberg from 1604 and was vice rector in his hometown from 1608 . From 1611 to 1614 Vehr was rector in Neuruppin , then at the Berlin high school in the gray monastery . In 1618 he was appointed a pastor at the Marienkirche in Berlin , and in 1632 he became archdeacon here . In 1649/50 Vehr was appointed provost at the Nikolaikirche and in 1651 was also a member of the Electoral Brandenburg Consistory .
