Peter Wolbrandt (born October 28, 1949 in Ulm ) is a German guitarist who was best known as a member of the band Kraan . Together with his younger brother Jan Fride Wolbrandt and classmate Hellmut Hattler , he played in various bands at the end of the 1960s until they founded Kraan. Wolbrandt has been featured on almost all of the band's albums and tours to this day.

In 1975 and 1982/3 he played together with Mani Neumeier's Guru Guru . When Kraan took a two-year hiatus in the mid-1970s, he released a solo album. During a longer break from the band between 1992 and 2000, he worked as a graphic designer and programmer and founded a company with his brother. On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary, the band reformed in spring 2000 and has been performing together again since then.

The leopard box

Wolbrandt designed an instrument that is "something in between the guitar , mandolin , electric guitar and violin " - the leopard box. It can be heard in a piece of the same name that was played jointly by Guru Guru and Kraan.
