Petr Házl (born August 29, 1971 in Litoměřice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech handball player . He was used in the back center position.

Házl began his career at the Czech club Dukla Prague , with whom he became Czechoslovak champion in 1992 and Czech champion and cup winner in 1994 and 1995. Then he moved to the second division EHV Aue . In 2004 he signed a contract with MT Melsungen, who was also playing in the 2nd Bundesliga at the time . At the end of the season he rose with the team in the first division. After Melsungen had managed to stay out of the league twice, the demands of Northern Hesse also increased and with Vladica Stojanović and Nenad Vučković two more experienced playmakers were committed. Due to this development, Házl only received a few working times, so that he switched to TuS Nettelstedt-Lübbecke at the beginning of 2008. However, he could not prevent the decline of the East Westphalia; in summer 2008 Házl moved on to ASV Hamm. A year later he moved to the regional league team ESV Lokomotive Pirna , where he became player coach from 2011 . Until 2015 he worked at ESV Lokomotive Pirna. From November 16, 2015 until the end of December 2015, Petr Házl was interim trainer at HSV Marienberg . From December 2016 until the end of the 2016/17 season he worked as an assistant trainer at EHV Aue. Then Házl took over the coaching office of SV 04 Plauen-Oberlosa.

He has played at least 125 international matches for the Czech Republic . At the 2007 World Cup he was part of the Czech squad.

Petr Házl is married and has two children.
