Vladica Stojanović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Владица Стојановић ; born June 14, 1981 in Belgrade , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a handball player of Serbian nationality who predominantly plays on the back center position. His body length is 1.91 m.

Athletic career

Vladica Stojanović began playing handball in his hometown at RK Red Star Belgrade , for which he made his debut in the first Serbian league in 1999. However, he and his team were initially only in the shadow of city rivals Partizan Belgrade until Stojanović finally switched sides in 2003. After winning the Serbian championship in 2004, he decided to move to the Spanish ASOBAL league to Bidasoa Irún . With the Basques, he finished 6th and 7th. In 2006 he was hired by MT Melsungen in the German handball league . Due to a tear in the outer meniscus and cartilage damage, Stojanović could only be used sporadically in the 2006/07 season and only meet the expectations placed in him in the 2007/08 season. In the summer of 2010 he wanted to leave Melsungen because his contract was not renewed, in fact he moved to the French first division club Toulouse Handball in May 2010 . With Toulouse he managed to stay up. Then Stojanović signed a three-year contract with the Romanian club HCM Constanța . Shortly after the start of the pre-season season, however, Stojanović ended his career for the time being because, according to his own statements, his body could no longer withstand the strain. From the beginning of 2011 he was active in Qatar before it was announced in May 2011 that he will play for Eintracht Hildesheim , promoted team member in the handball Bundesliga from the 2011/12 season . In January 2012 his contract in Hildesheim was terminated. At the end of February 2012, Stojanović signed a contract with the French second division side Pays d'Aix UC , with which he succeeded in promotion.

Vladica Stojanović has made 65 appearances for the Serbian national team .
