The Bell 430 is an eight-seat, twin-engine helicopter from the US manufacturer Bell Helicopter with turbine drive .

construction

The construction is an extended and more powerful version of the Bell 230 , which is based on the predecessor Bell 222 . The first series machines of the Bell 430 were produced in 1995. The helicopter will be manufactured at Bell Helicopter's plant in Mirabel, Québec, Canada .

The four-bladed main rotor is driven by two Allison 250 -C40B with fully digital engine control ( FADEC ). A two-bladed tail rotor is used as torque compensation .

The machine is available with retractable landing gear or with skids as a landing device.
