In the development

The Bell 360 Invictus is a light reconnaissance and attack helicopter from the US manufacturer Bell Helicopter in the development stage . The model is being developed for the FARA (" Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft ") program, which is part of the US Army's ATCO (" Future Vertical Lift ") program .

development

Bell unveiled the 360 Invictus at the AUSA military exhibition on October 2, 2019. The helicopter was designed for the FARA program and will replace the OH-58D "Kiowa Warrior" from 2028 . In contrast to the sometimes relatively futuristic competing designs from AVX Aircraft, Boeing , Karem Aircraft and Sikorsky , the Bell 360 is designed in a relatively conventional manner. The reason for this is that Bell's FARA program is based on an approach with "proven, low-risk technologies" and advanced design and manufacturing processes in order to achieve a cost-effective solution. Other features of the Invictus include auxiliary wings, fly-by-wire controls and internal weapon bays.
