Petra-Maria Schnitzer
Petra Maria Schnitzer (born March 6, 1963 in Vienna ) is an Austrian opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Petra Maria Schnitzer first studied acting and then singing at the Mozarteum Salzburg and at the Vienna University of Music with Walter Berry . Schnitzer was a member of the Opera Studio of the Vienna State Opera , had an engagement at the Volksoper Vienna and made his debut at the Vienna State Opera in 1993. Since 1995 she has been singing frequently at both houses and at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich .
Schnitzer appears at the Salzburg Festival , Vienna Festival and Bayreuth Festival , among others , as well as on the most important German theaters and in Paris, Venice and New York . Schnitzer was also known as a concert and lied singer.
Schnitzer is married to Peter Seiffert .
