Peter Seiffert (born January 4, 1954 in Düsseldorf ) is a German opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Seiffert comes from a musical family. He was taught singing as a child by his father, Helmut Seiffert. He was an opera singer and pop composer as well as the owner of the famous Düsseldorfer Malkasten , an important association of visual artists at the time and one of the oldest associations in Germany. As a young boy, Seiffert was a soloist in a Düsseldorf boys' choir. Then studied at the Robert Schumann University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf , where he received training as a singer, mainly through M. Röhrig. He also trained as a physiotherapist . He received special attention through concerts with Gioachino Rossini's Stabat Mater and Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem .

In 1978 he made his debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf-Duisburg, of which he was a member of the ensemble until 1980.
