Petras Gražulis

Petras Gražulis (born October 28, 1958 in Mankūnai , Alytus Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

Gražulis grew up in a family of 15 children. He graduated from Miroslava's Middle School with Alytus in 1975 and studied at the Politechnikos institutas in Kaunas . In his youth he was a dissident against the Soviet occupation of Lithuania. He spread " Lietuvos katalikų bažnyčios kronika " in Soviet Lithuania . Gražulis refused to serve in the Soviet Army and was therefore arrested in 1988 and detained in Lukiškės Prison , Pravieniškės and Mordovia ( Soviet Union ).

From 1990 to 1995 he was a member of the Kaunas Municipality Council , and from 2000 to 2003 he was a member of the Klaipėda District Council . From 1996 to 2000 (at LKDP ), from 2000 to 2004 (LKDP), since 2004 he has been a member of the Seimas with the TT party. Since 2008 he is a member of Tvarka ir teisingumas .

Homophobia

Gražulis is known for its homophobia. In 2010 he initiated a homosexual discriminatory bill , fines for the "promotion of homosexual relations" provides. He is one of the organizers of the Lithuanian anti- gay protests and the counter-demonstrations of the Baltic Pride Parade in Vilnius in 2013. He was arrested at the parade for disturbing them.
