The Petronilla Chapel is a Roman Catholic chapel in the Altenstadt district (Sankt-Martins-Weg) in the city of Feldkirch . As a church in the field , the chapel is the origin of the name Feldkirch.

The Lourds and St. Martin chapel stood in the open to the west of the former village of Feldkirch, which later became Altenstadt. First mentioned in a document around 842, the chapel came into the possession of the Premonstratensian monastery in Churwalden in 1222 . The chapel was enlarged in 1505 and transformed into a Lourdes grotto in 1888 . The chapel consists of a choir , nave and an enclosed sacristy .
