Petunia scheideana is a plant type from the genus Petunia ( Petunia ) in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

description

Petunia scheideana is an herbaceous plant whose fine, numerous stems grow upright to creeping and diverge. They can be straight or branched and grow up to 70 cm long. At the base they are sparsely hairy yellow-green, otherwise hairless. The leaves have 1 cm long flower stalks , the leaf blades are ovate to lanceolate, tapering to a point at the base. They become 45 mm long and 20 mm wide and are membranous. The leaf margin is ciliate and hairless only in exceptional cases.

The flowers are on stalks up to 11 cm long , which do not bend back after flowering. The calyx is 10 to 17 mm long and almost to the base divided into linear, slightly spaced tips with a round tip. The crown is red-purple, inside there is a white star. The corolla-tube is wide, inversely conical, 20 mm long and roughly the same width. The corolla lobes are inverted ovoid, broadly rounded and 25 mm long. The stamens are about 18 mm long. The scar is slightly lobed and rounded at the tip.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 14.
