The Pfaffenbach is a brook in the Saarland district of Merzig-Wadern in the area of the municipality of Perl . It is an almost four kilometers long, west-southwest and right tributary of the Moselle .

The Pfaffenbach rises in the Mosel-Saar-Gau northeast of Perl at an altitude of 329.5 m above sea level. NHN north of a municipal road on the northern edge of a small mixed forest. Its source is in the hallway Am Pillingerschloß directly west of the Hammelsberg / Atzbüsch nature reserve and just under 200 meters southwest of the Pillinger Hof . Today's Biolandhof Schlossgut Pillingen used to be a mansion belonging to Luxembourg and rebuilt in the 18th century, the previous building of which was mentioned as early as the 14th century.
The Pfaffenbach initially flows in a north-northwest direction on the western edge of the mixed forest, which is under nature protection, through grassland along the buildings of the estate. In the hallway Hinterm Bau it is fed on the left by the Pillingerbach.
The Pfaffenbach finally flows south of the Perler district Besch from the right into the Moselle .
