The Pfarrhofreite is a listed court equestrian in Darmstadt-Wixhausen in Hesse , built in the 18th century .

History and description

The Pfarrhofreite was built in 1762 by Mathias Clausecker. It consists of a rectory , a barn and the rectory with a garden.

Rectory

The rectory is a two-story , gable - independent half-timbered house with a mansard roof . The facade is symmetrically structured by five window axes. The windows have sandstone frames . The attic was laid out as a two-storey harvest storage facility.

Parish barn

The walls of the parish barn , which was renovated in 1827, are made of quarry stone . The building closes off the north side of the rectory and is now used as a parish hall.

Monument protection

The largely preserved original building fabric shows the three-zone typical of the Hessian half-timbered house. The property forms an ensemble of particular architectural and urban development importance. For architectural and city history reasons, the building is a cultural monument .
