Parish Church Gaisberg S.JPG

The nave walls, two windows in the south wall and the square choir bay have been preserved from the original Romanesque church building. Three windows were walled up. The choir supported by two-tier buttresses with a five-eighth closure was built in the early 15th century. On the north side of the choir there is a groin vaulted , Gothic , and on the south side a Baroque sacristy . The west tower, built around 1450, is crowned by a baroque onion dome with a lantern. A bell cast by Peter Pfinzing in 1515 and one marked 1520 hang in the bell chamber.

A baroque hollow vault rises above the nave. A round arched triumphal arch connects the nave with the choir. In the choir a late Gothic star rib vault rests on short console services . The capitals and keystones are carved, including the head of Christ, the Lamb of God and the symbols of the evangelists . The profiled pointed arch portal to the sacristy has a door with hinges. In the choir there is a late Gothic lava niche and a sacrament niche with the relief of the Man of Sorrows in the tympanum from the early 15th century.

In the three-lane tracery windows in the choir, 18 panes with glass paintings from 1420/1430 have been preserved. The twelve apostles , St. George, the mercy seat and a Madonna as well as decorative panels in the tracery are depicted . On the north wall of the choir, frescoes of a heavily faded procession of the Three Kings from the early 15th century and the Mannalese from the second half of the 16th century can be seen.

Facility

The high altar , made around 1680, is equipped with an altarpiece of St. George from the beginning of the 20th century. The late Gothic relief figures of Saints Wolfgang and Ulrich from around 1520 are attached to the side cheeks . The left side altar dates from the middle of the 18th century and has been given a new image of St. George. In the essay is the statue of Anthony of Padua . From a late Gothic altar built around 1500, a shrine relief of St. Martin and a painted predella with a Man of Sorrows, Mary and John have been preserved. The classicist organ with a two-part case was built around 1840/1850. The church also features a late Gothic figure of Mary from a crucifixion group , a processional statue of an enthroned Madonna from the mid-18th century and a baptismal font from 1512.
