The Roman Catholic parish church Grünbach is located in Grünbach in the municipality Grünbach in the district of Freistadt in Upper Austria . architecture
The one- bay cross - rib vaulted choir closes with a five-eighth closure and has simple lancet windows from the middle of the 14th century. The much higher three-aisled, four- bay, cross - rib vaulted nave around 1510 has been shifted to the north on the axis, presumably because the choir was to give way to a new building. The effect of the incidence of light is remarkable despite the small size of the windows due to the balanced space conditions. The massive gothic renewed west gallery separates the west yoke, which makes the nave a central space. The west tower with a wedge roof shows a mask in a stone on the southwest edge. On the eastern outer wall of the confessional chapel north of the choir is an early Gothic eyelash-like decorative stone from 1300, probably originally the crowning of a sacrament niche. The walled-in keystone on the north-east side of the nave was built around 1500. The richly barbed south portal is marked 1512 and has a door with Gothic fittings.
Furnishing
The decor is neo-Gothic.
The Gothic baptismal font with a new foot has a baroque lid.
