The Roman Catholic parish church Hautzendorf (or local church Hautzendorf ) is slightly elevated in the northeast of the village of Hautzendorf in the municipality of Kreuttal in the Mistelbach district in Lower Austria . It is consecrated to St. Lambert and, together with the parish and pilgrimage church on the Heiligenberg, forms a parish in the Wolkersdorf deanery in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The building is a listed building .

history

The nave of the church dates from 1787 and was extended to the north in 1951. In 1993 the church was elevated to a parish church.

architecture

The church has a round closed choir on the north side. The facade is structured by simple pilaster strips . The central church tower rises above the entrance facade between sloping gables. The tower is designed with an accented eaves cornice as well as corner pilasters and arched sound windows. The tower is covered by a pyramid roof.

The nave and the choir are flat covered. The corners between the narrower southern and the wider northern part of the nave are bevelled. The walls are structured by simple pilasters .

Furnishing

The altar panel of the high altar, which is divided into two zones, depicts the glorification of St. Lambert. The saint is enthroned, dressed as a priest, on a cloud, two assisting angels present miter and bishop's staff , while scenes from life are in the lower zone of the saint are depicted. The picture, which was painted between 1780 and 1790, is a lavishly decorated and gilded frame with volutes and scrollwork , in which a few putti cavort. The image is crowned by the Eye of God , accompanied by two putti. The high altar was restored in 2001.

The pulpit was built around 1900. A statue of the Virgin Mary in the style of historicism was created between 1880 and 1920. The Way of the Cross by Hermann belly emerged in the 1950s. A late baroque statue of St. John Nepomuk stands on a console under a canopy .

organ

The organ with six registers and an organ front in the style of neo-classicism dates from 1900. It was built by Franz Capek and Max Zachistal . It was renovated in the late 1990s.
