Hinterhornbach parish church
The Hinterhornbach parish church is located in the Hinterhornbach municipality in the Reutte district in Tyrol . The Our Lady of Good Counsel consecrated parish church belongs to the deanery Breitenwang in the Diocese of Innsbruck and is together with the cemetery under monument protection ( list entry ).
history
The place initially belonged to the Elbigenalp parish , then to the Elmen parish , became a curate in 1755 and became an independent parish in 1891. The church was built with the help of a foundation from Johann Jakob Sterzinger from Nassereith and Jakob Mang Ammann from Reutte . It was built from 1761 to 1764 and consecrated in 1782.
architecture
The church in the east of Kirchweiler Hinterhornbach is a uniform baroque church building with a central space effect and a baroque tower in the north.
The nave under a hipped roof has strongly sloping corners and a small porch on the western front. The north tower with an eight-sided upper floor has an onion dome. The sacristy is attached to the south of the choir .
The hall in the nave with smooth corners has a shallow barrel above a surrounding cornice. The retracted choir arch is shaped like a volute; the retracted one-yoke choir with a flat barrel has a round ending. In the reveals of the arched windows there is simple stucco tape work. Wolfram Köberl (1962) painted the frescoes, in the choir the Lamb of God , in the nave of the Assumption and Coronation of Mary .
Furnishing
The altar painting of the high altar represents the veneration of the miraculous image of the Mother of Good Counsel by St. James the Elder and was created by Martin Falbesoner (1765).
