history

A small chapel was built in Kirchschlag as early as 1230 . Today's single-nave church was built in 1748 by the builder Johann Matthias Krinner in the baroque style and was a subsidiary of Hellmonsödt . In 1964, as the church had become too small due to the growing population, a modern extension was built, whereby the baroque altar and the figures of saints were taken over. In 1966 Kirchschlag was elevated to an independent parish .
